বিসর্জনের আগে, জলে ভাসা মুখ ...
দশমীর পুজা শেষ। শেষ হল দেবি দুর্গার মর্ত্যলোকের দিন। এবার ফেরার পালা। সমস্ত আচার শেষে শূন্য যখন দেবির মন্ডপ, বিসর্জনের আগের সময়টকুতে তার সামনে রেখে দেয়া হয় জল ভরা পাত্র।
  জলের ছায়ায় দুর্গা দেখে নেন তার আসন্ন বিদায়ের ছবি।
হয়ত, এ জল মানুষের মনের শুদ্ধতম প্রদান, অর্ঘ্য। বিসর্জনের আগে তাই বড় প্রিয় লাগে সেই দেবিমুখ!

Before you leave, O thy face of Goddess! 

 The end of Dashami Puja, the last day of worship of Goddess Durga. The termination of Her finite earthy stay in Her eternal journey. Now, it's time to leave. After rituals finish, on the empty altar, a clay pot full of water is placed in front of Her before the immersion. The Goddess sees her face reflected in the water, perhaps reminding Her farewell. Perhaps this water is the purest offering from worshipers' heart. And so, so dear Her face looks before She leaves!
